How to fake, looking natural-Pt. 1-Skin

My father once waxed on poetically about natural naked beauty being the best kind. He would often say “Nothing is prettier than a freshly scrubbed face.”Ah, Bless. That held true until he saw me once sans make-up and asked if I was feeling poorly, because apparently I looked it.Then there was the time where I ran into the market just to grab some half and half for early morning coffee, only to run out of the aisle towards a cashier with no queue, and smack dab into an ex, literally.  When you live in the same city, it’s inevitable, but I wanted to look brill like 20 years has done nothing but improve me and don’t you feel bad you let me go now. Instead I looked like a badly shorn sheep that had been run over and simply limped into Whole Foods to maybe munch on a bit of wheat grass before dying. I had no brows, no lashes, no lippy, just my fave pair of super huge Jackie O glasses. So now, I take three minutes to get my glow on before I go anywhere, from grocers to gym.How do I do it? Benefit’s That Gal and  Some Kinda Gorgeous. That Gal is a pink primer stick that confers face brighting powers to any skin tone. While you can use it alone to brighten a sallow complexion I run this tube across my clean face and then top with Some Kinda Gorgeous. This cream to powder foundation isn’t heavy and when I swipe it over my face with a damp sponge gives me the fab and flawless skin I used to have, before rosacea began making me look like Rudolph the  eponymously named Reindeer.Miraculously these ultra light weight two layers look more natural than any cream, or liquid foundation I’ve used in ages and it’s so light weight I can pop it on before hitting the gym and all my trainer, or anyone else on the way sees is a fresh and beautiful skin. That Gal and Some Kinda Gorgeous $28 each at Benefit cosmetics www.benefitcosmetics.com, Sephora www.sephora.com and Macy’s.
